Various mental health treatments and medications through-out history were claimed to be non addictive, only later found to be addictive.

Could anti-depressants be the next intervention found to be addictive?

Could this be the reason for the ever increasing number of prescriptions issued?

This article raises the important question of whether these  medications are in fact addictive or whether it is the fact that the withdrawal symptoms are so severe this is the reason people do not withdraw rather than the medication being addictive.

What is your view? Do you have personal experience? Do you think anti-depressants are addictive?
